Our service is designed and structured for adaptability; it’s equally suitable for investors who might not meet the typical $100,000 equivalent threshold that most investment managers offering discretionary services seem to insist upon.

Growth or Income

For investment management purposes, Nanto Sapporo Brokerage separates our clients’ discretionary investment portfolios into two distinctive groups, Capital Growth and Yield. These group names reflect the bias of the investment focus adopted by the portfolio managers. Portfolios falling within the Capital Growth group will have a distinct bias towards accumulating wealth.

The portfolio managers will seek to invest in assets that can deliver significant growth over the investment time horizon determined by the client and the investment adviser at the outset. These will include small and mid-cap equities both in the developed economies and in the emerging markets, mutual fund/ETF stocks with exposure to commodities, hedge funds/fund of funds and special situations.

The Yield group focuses on achieving stable, generous income from accumulated wealth. Portfolios suited to this group will usually be owned by individuals nearing retirement. The portfolio managers will have a leaning toward blue-chip defensive stocks and short-term corporate and Treasury debt that will perform consistently will little volatility and, consequently, much-reduced risk.

Once management of the client portfolio begins, your assigned investment advisor will liaise with our investment teams on a regular basis (usually monthly) to ensure the portfolio remains on track to achieve its objectives.
